The Federation of Services, Mobility and Consumption (FeSMC) of UGT has called an indefinite general strike starting next November 17 in the concessionaire of the cleaning service of the Post Offices in Cantabria, SCT ACVA, in response to its repeated non-payments and breaches of the collective agreement.

As reported this Wednesday by the union, since last July SCT ACVA has not paid salaries to its staff, made up of 35 workers in Cantabria, which is why an indefinite general strike is called “that will last until labor relations are normalized and “The company pays salaries on time and in the manner stipulated in the collective agreement, in addition to all those that are pending payment.”

FeSMC-UGT clarifies that “until now the efforts made to resolve a conflict only caused by the company have been unsuccessful.”

The cleaning service workers at the Post Office offices in Cantabria already faced mobilizations on September 14 with a protest rally in front of the main headquarters of the public postal company in Santander and for the same reasons.
