Eight arrested in Rotterdam and another large stash of cocaine in the port

Last Tuesday, November 7, during a coordinated action by the Combined Ports Team with powers in Rotterdam, eight people were arrested, suspected of importing hundreds of kilos of cocainepossession of weapons and unofficial corruption.

The arrested suspects are four residents of the city of Rotterdam aged 23, 27, 30 and 55 years, a 27-year-old man from Ridderkerker, a 33-year-old man from the municipality of Moerdijk and a 26-year-old man with no known permanent residence. In addition, a 25-year-old woman, also from the city that is home to the largest port in Europe, was arrested.

During house searches, in addition to data carriers, drugs and cashvarious weapons were seized at different addresses.

Immediately after the proceedings, the suspects were placed under complete restraints. This will remain the case for the time being. The eight investigated were brought this Thursday before the investigating judge, who determined that They will remain in prison for the next 14 days. The same Thursday, during a customs inspection, the Harc team at the port of Rotterdam discovered a shipment of cocaine in a shipment of stainless steel scrap. The container came from the Dominican Republic and was destined for a company in the south of Holland.

During customs inspection, customs officials found a total of 19 bales containing packages of drugs. The counter was left 464 one kilo pieces with a street value of almost 35 million euros. The recipient of the scrap, the aforementioned company from the south of Holland, does not seem to have anything to do with the smuggling.
