Chestnuts are one of the characteristic fruits of autumn, as popular as they are delicious and also very healthy. In the kitchen they are also very versatile and can be an ingredient for sweet and savory dishes. Since we have to choose between one or the other, we have chosen the first, a dessert whose steps lead us to a delicious chestnut cake, for a snack or an after-dinner meal in which we can make the most of the season of a product that, at the same time, Full of energy, it also satisfies us.

    The chestnuts are cooked in milk until they become soft. Once cooked, drain and pass through a food mill.

    We add yeast and mix it with the chestnut puree.

    Meanwhile, we put a bowl in a water bath and dilute the butter with the sugar, beating everything constantly until well mixed.

    Next, we add the eggs, the tablespoon of brandy and the chestnut puree. We continue beating until we form a paste without lumps.

    We grease a mold with butter, add the dough and put it in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.

    When the cake is cold, unmold and decorate with whipped cream.

This chestnut cake is very delicious warm, although it can also be eaten cold.
