Judge Manuel García Castellón, who is investigating the ‘Villarjo case’ in the National Court, has summoned the former secretary general of the PP María Dolores de Cospedal to testify as a witness on November 28 to determine if “people linked to the Popular Party” They commissioned “services aimed at obtaining information” related to Luis Bárcenas and his lawyer at the time, former judge Javier Gómez de Liaño.

Following the resolution of the Criminal Court that forced García Castellón to summon the former Minister of Defense, the judge has accepted the order and must clarify with his appearance whether there was pressure on Gómez de Liaño to try to prevent contrary information from being published. to conservative formation.

On the same Tuesday, retired commissioner José Manuel Villarejo is also summoned, who according to the investigations carried out by the Internal Affairs Unit of the Police and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office was one of the members of the parapolice operation that supervised the lawyer’s personal accounts in 2013 and 2014. , who at that time led the strategy of the former treasurer of the PP to pull the blanket and recognize the existence of a box b in the formation then led by Mariano Rajoy.

One day before, on November 27, lawyer José Aliste will appear as an investigator, as Gómez de Liaño himself claimed for his alleged involvement in these pressures. In his letter, the applicant also pointed out the possibility that any of the witnesses could be investigated.

These summonses occur after the Third Section of the Criminal Chamber last week revoked García Castellón’s decision not to summon Cospedal and the rest of the witnesses in separate piece number 36 of the ‘Villarjo case’, which completes the investigations into the well-known Kitchen operation: the parapolice plot to recover sensitive information held by Bárcenas.
