A hooded young man is surprised at night inside the playground of a school in Monte

The National Police have arrested an 18-year-old young man who was seen by witnesses at night and hooded inside a school located in Monte (Santander). Since he did not take anything, he was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of attempted robbery at an educational center.

It all happened last Holy Thursday (March 28) at night. A witness called 091 alerting that a man was inside the playground of a school in Santander, dressed completely in black, with a balaclava and gloves.

A patrol went to the scene and near the educational center located a young man who matched the characteristics provided by the citizen. Then, the officers tried to stop the suspect, but he ignored them and continued fleeing towards a nearby street, although in the end the police managed to intercept him.

Then the agents verified that inside the school there was an open window with broken glass. For this reason, the young man ended up arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of attempted robbery with force and for a crime of resistance and disobedience, for which he was transferred to police stations. The detainee, who had no criminal record, was brought to justice.

In view of this case, the National Police highlights “the importance of citizen collaboration, so that in the event that any suspicious or unknown person is observed hanging around the neighborhood, building, apartment, doorway, stairs or noises unusual hours, contact 091 as soon as possible, providing all possible information about the strangers.
